Was your home damaged by Hurricane Sandy? See how this woman found new hope in the rebuilding of her home after Sandy left her entire property in ruins.
Bridget was one of the countless victims impacted by the aftermath of super storm sandy. Her modest one level home located in Toms River NJ, was severely damaged by water and wind from the storm. For almost a year following Sandy Bridget was unsure about what to do and where to start with the rebuilding of her home. Overwhelmed by the daunting process it would take to restore her home Bridget felt a sense of urgency to find someone she can trust with the project. Fortunately, a friend who had also been a victim to the storm was able to recommend ERNA PROPERTIES who constructed a new home for them nearby, in Ortley Beach.
After Bridget contacted the owner Dave Seidenberg, the two began speaking weekly about Bridget’s hopes to live in a new home. It was clear that it would take a team effort, and they decided to divide the project into two phases. Phase one was demolition of the existing home, and phase two involved constructing a new home on the property. Demolition took place just prior to the start of the summer season. They began working closely with an architect shortly after demolition was completed. The design was finalized by the end of the summer, and construction started in mid-October. Any sign of Sandy’s after math quickly faded away as construction progressed, and Bridget finally started to feel a sense of relief as ERNA Properties brought her one step closer to living in the dream home that she had so desperately hoped for. By summer her home was complete and ready to be enjoyed with a fresh start and bright future.
